How it works. This groupware service creates an extensive, smooth-running collaborative work environment, which is lacking among competitive services. It allows people throughout your organization to access your Outlook-resident e-mail, address books, task lists and calendars from anywhere, as well as conduct Instant Messaging for real-time communications, maintain POP3 or IMAP e-mail accounts, collaborate on projects with ease, and much more.

Backup e-Mail Service. If you operate your own e-mail server and do not have a backup mail server, then consider using Micro-Point's backup mail service. When a mail server goes down and someone tries to send you an email, the message will be returned to the user. Micro-Point's backup mail service prevents this from happening.

How it works. When an email is sent, an email server looks up to see which server handles mail for the domain using DNS MX records. Each MX record is given a priority, the lowest being the primary mail server. Mail delivery is first attempted on the lowest numbered MX record. If it cannot connect to that server it tries the next higher MX record. If your mail server fails, mail is then sent to Micro-Point's backup mail server. Our server waits until you server is back online and then immediately forwards the mail to your system.
