Snagit
Snagit is the best utility I have found for day to day PC productivity improvements for heavy computer users. It is hard to explain what it does, but before I try, you need two monitors to use this product effectively!
First, if you do not have two monitors, or one really huge monitor, then you must try that first. I cannot work effectively without the ability to have a search result on one screen while I have the application I am using on the other screen. Once you have adjusted to two monitors, you are ready for Snagit.
Snagit is a screen capture utility. It keeps everything organized in a database. It does all kinds of tricks, like capturing a web pages that is too long to fit on your screen, it can scroll to capture the entire page. It is so fast and easy to use you will find it usefull everyday. Every error I get, I capture. When I need to create tutorials, the built-in editing features make that easy.
One you start capturing everything you will really appriciate the database aspect, as you do not have to save the captures, that are automtically saved in a database, and you can tag the captures with different key words to keep the organized.
